Cool Bananas Childcare & Preschool is a fun, dynamic, nurturing, educational and HAPPY place to be!
We are a purpose built Long Day Care Centre & Preschool located in Box Hill.
We cater for up to 134 children daily, aged from 6 weeks to 6 years, and have 5 beautiful classrooms!
Cool Bananas is open Monday to Friday, 52 weeks per year, excluding weekends and Public Holidays from 6:30am to 6:00pm.

General Information
Inclusions & Exclusions
We provide:
- all meals & snacks – supplied fresh daily by Kids Gourmet Food!
- nappies (under 2 years only)
- high staff ratios
- leading school readiness and literacy programs, utilising the latest SmartBoard technologies
- and most importantly lots of fun, friendship and learning for your babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers
All you need to pack for your child is:
- sheets (cot size) for sleep/rest time
- a water bottle
- a sun-safe hat
- baby bottles already filled with milk or formula if required
- dummys or comfort teddy /blankey if required
- some spare clothes just in case!
Fees
Fees are payable for the current week plus two weeks in advance, upon commencement and all families are required to sign an Ezi Debit form which authorises the deduction of fees from your account by your choice of either weekly or fortnightly in advance.
A minimum bond of $300 (dependent on number of days attending), and a once-off enrolment administration fee of $100 is payable to secure your child’s enrolment. A yearly fee of $50 will also be payable for Administration and Portfolios.
Child Care Benefit (CCB) and Child Care Rebate (CCR)
Cool Bananas Childcare & Preschool is “government approved” care which is heavily funded by the Commonwealth in two major ways:
- Child Care Benefit (CCB) – means tested and not available to all families.
If you have already been given your percentage by the Centrelink, we can discuss the exact “out-of-pocket” expense with you. - The 50% Child Care Rebate – not means tested, and available to ALL families who meet the work/study test.
The Government provides Child Care Benefit and Child Care Rebate for eligible families. Please contact Centrelink on 13 62 40 or www.humanservices.gov.au/customer/dhs/centrelink for further details.
