Nursery Room

Our Nursery Room works to create a stable and consistent environment that children feel comfortable in. We maintain consistency by ensuring that children in this room are seeing the same educators every day and reflecting routine from home into a routine at the centre.

The nursery room focuses on sensory interest-based activities that help children develop their fine and gross motor skills. Children in the nursery are nurtured and nourished with care from a team of highly experienced and warm educators.

The children in our nursery room engage in many activities that will develop their physical and mental development. This includes arts and crafts, water play and reading books to stimulate their curiosity. The children also take part in outdoor play twice a day where they work on their skills such as climbing, running, throwing, and catching.

Our room leaders are highly experienced educators who have a warm and nurturing personality. They have strong connections with families and have a wonderful way of making all children feel safe and at ease in their presence. They create the programs for their classrooms weekly and put great effort into ensuring they reflect the interests of all children. They work with the other nursery educators to deliver high-level care and a safe environment for all children.

Toddler Program

We create a creative, imaginative, and innovative zone for children aged 2-3.

Toddler Room

Our Toddler Room is a creative, imaginative, and innovative zone for children aged 2-3. We implement a hands-on teaching approach to role-model positive behaviours and create fun and exciting programs that are based on the interests of the children.

We encourage cooperation and teamwork between the children in this room to help them form meaningful bonds with each other. The educators in our toddler space help the children to become prepared for preschool by promoting independence through their social and independent skills.

Our Toddler Room has a specialised program that is based on the interests of the children in the room. These activities will include music, language lessons, arts and crafts and learning the fundamentals of the alphabet. The children will also engage in outdoor classes that will involve nature-based play activities as well as exploration and team activities.

They have wonderful relationships with the kids in their rooms and always make time to work with families to create the best possible environment for the children. The team work closely with the other educators in the centre to create imaginative classes and are never afraid to get involved in the activities themselves.

Preschool Program

Preschool Room

In our Preschool Room, we implement strong educational foundations in our classroom as the children get ready for school. Our Educational Leader works closely with this room to create an engaging and valuable school readiness program for the children who are preparing to transition.

The Preschool Room team use our interactive smartboard to deliver their programs that are focused on children’s interests and engage many teaching concepts such as mathematics, English and Language classes.

Our preschool room focuses on preparing children for primary school. The children in this room learn independence, teamwork and problem-solving skills that are implemented in their educational programs every week. The children also develop physical skills through the implementation of sports games and activities that are implemented in a weekly outdoor program.

The Cool School Curriculum

At Cool Bananas your child will enjoy exploring and playing in our welcoming and indoor and outdoor environments. We have numerous play spaces for our children to enjoy – including home corners, book corner, our sandpit, cubby houses, bike track, softfall areas and obstacle courses!

We believe education starts with a child’s interest, we simply explore this interest and add learning opporunities along the way. We begin to develop self-help skills and independence while exploring the world and environment around us. Children commonly ask their teachers ‘But Why?’ and we enjoy investigating the answers.

At Cool Bananas, we are focused on the holistic growth and development of each child, with health and nutrition a top priority for us. Here at Cool B, we feature an inclusive menu of three main delicious and nutritious daily foods. All meals present an opportunity for our children to learn about the importance of a well-balanced diet, guiding them towards lifelong healthy eating habits.
